Role in project

Eurescom will lead Task 7.3 and will establish and maintain the project website and provide support for all other activities.

Role in project

In WP2 FBB contribute in market analysis, definition of use cases and technical requirement analysis of Berlin airports. FBB will contribute in all WP3 tasks. FBB assures that the interfaces of DORA and the airport are in line with the data security regulations at the airports and that the data structure of DORA is compatible with the ones used by other service providers (airports, public transportation, traffic info services, …). FBB will support the development at the airport in Berlin in WP4. FBB will provide a feedback of the test results to the evaluation team in WP6.

In WP2 CSE will contribute to the state of the art analysis with special emphasis on indoor location and navigation techniques. CSE will also take part in the preparation of the evaluation plan as far as the technical validation is concerned and will also help in formulating the technical requirements. CSE is related in all WP3 tasks and will work on issues relating to the structuring of the information provided by  various sources so as to allow flexible and expandable data models catering also for future extensions. CSE will also analyses and specify indoor location and navigation concepts along with their interrelation with other core platform services and applications and will design the Wi-Fi beacons that will be used for these purposes. in WP4 CSE will produce the hardware components (Wi-Fi beacons) to be used in indoor location and navigation as well as the required software to support these services in the back-end systems and also in user applications. CSE will also participate in the integration phases of the various components. CSE will lead Task 6.2 and perform technical validation and performance evaluation of the overall platform but also of the separate components by the provision of testing mechanisms that will verify the operation of the platform against the defined requirements. in WP7 CSE will try to apply the technological progress it will achieve in novel products to be added to the services/solutions it provides. CSE will also try to find ways of advertising and possibly applying parts of the DORA concepts to tourist information centers operating in Greece.

CPM will contribute to the development of market analysis and the definition of DORA users groups in WP2. Role in project

VBB as public transport authority will bring in experiences, expertise, requirements and recommendations for Task 2.2, 2.3 and 2.5. from the point of view of the operator of the regional public transport traveller information and ticketing system as well as EU-Spirit co-ordinator. In WP3 VBB will contribute to the definition of services, applications as well as business and cooperation models. In WP4 VBB will give access to real time routing and ticketing services via API or special interfaces to make use of these services for the DORA system and application. Initial testing will be supported for operation center application and end user application from the service provider’s point of view. In Wp5 FBB will set up the hardware of the test infrastructure in the Berlin pilot. The test persons will be selected and the test procedures prepared. The tests according to the planed procedures will be executed. VBB will support Task 5.2 and 5.3 through the recruitment of participants with special focus on the Berlin pilot execution. The public transport information system and ticketing services will be provided throughout the trial.

VMZ will lead task 2.4 technical requirement analysis and will contribute in all tasks with focus on the definition of use cases and user groups. VMZ will lead WP3 as well as task 3.1 architecture and task 3.3 applications. VMZ is bringing in its expertise in the definition, realization and operation of complex integrated mobility systems and its experience in the definition of mobile information services and cooperative incidents and management systems. VMZ will lead WP4, as well as Task T.4. Door-to-Door Services and Task 4.3 Applications. VMZ is bringing in its expertise in the definition, realization and operation of complex integrated mobility systems and its experience in the definition of mobile information services and cooperative incidents and management systems. VMZ leads the Task 5.1 Technical set-up and will contribute in the set-up and execution in the Berlin pilot. VMZ will contribute to the definition of the evaluation plan and the technical evaluation related with indoor routing and navigation and usability assessments in WP6. VBB will contribute to Task 6.2 Technical Evaluation and Task 6.4 Evaluation based on project results, focussing on alternative and/or backup approaches/paths for proper and uninterrupted service provisioning as well as barriers, drivers and lessons learnt under the aspect of a continuous operation of DORA services.

In WP2 EUREVA will contribute to the definition of the use cases, initial evaluation and technical requirements gathering with regard to personal indoor positioning and navigation. Eureva will contribute in all WP3 tasks. FBB assures that the interfaces of DORA and the airport are in line with the data security regulations at the airports and that the data structure of DORA is compatible with the ones used by other service providers (airports, public transportation, traffic info services, …). Eureva is responsible for the Software Development Kit which will ease the integration of the DORA Application into existing mobile applications, such as other Airline or Airport applications. Eureva contributes in the development of the waiting time detection system in WP4. In WP5 Eureva  will contribute with the technical set-up with regard to indoor routing, navigation and waiting time detection and the specific execution of the pilots in Berlin and PMI at airport premises.  Eureva will participate in the impact evaluation by contributing in WP6 to the definition of relevant indicators for the measurement and providing feedback to the preparation of surveys. VMZ, ETRA, FBB, Aena, CPM, and EMT will participate in any PR-activities for the DORA results. (WP7)

TUB will lead task 2.2 user groups and mobility profiles. TUB is WP6 leader and leads the Tasks 6.1, 6.3, 6.4. The contributions will be reports that either will deliver information on the improvement of the system during the development phase, or on the quality and impacts of the system. TUB will contribute in WP7  by disseminating the intermediate and final results of the project in scientific publications and conferences. TUB will also disseminate results of the evaluation to the partners of the consortium.

Role in project

ETRA as WP2 leader will coordinate all tasks within the WP, leading the tasks market analysis, definition of use cases and legal requirements and participating in the definition of user groups and technical requirements. ETRA is task leader of task 3.2. ETRA will contribute to the definition of services to be integrated in DORA platform and the specification of the end-user application. As industrial partner, ETRA will also contribute to the definition of the collaborative business model for exploitation. ETRA´s main role within WP4 is the integration of DORA platform with the existing ICT solutions in Palma de Mallorca Airport and City; and the development of required adaptations for the pilot implementation. ETRA is task leader of Task 5.2 and will manage in coordination with AENA all activities related to the Palma de Mallorca Pilot including technical, organizational and operational set-up and the pilot execution involving at least 250 users in Palma de Mallorca.  ETRA will contribute in WP6 to the impact evaluation and the user satisfaction assessment within Palma de Mallorca´s Pilot. ETRA will support the preparation and conduction of surveys.

In WP2 UPVLC will contribute to the definition of the use cases, initial evaluation and technical requirements gathering with regard to personal indoor positioning and navigation. In WP3 UPVLC will bring its expertise in real-time systems, WLAN definition, indoor and outdoor positioning and navigation, so as specification and definition of architectures. UPVLC leads the Task 4.1 Terminal and Flight Routing Services and brings in the expertise in real-time systems development, indoor and outdoor positioning and routing and the development of Location Based Services. UPVLC will contribute with the technical set-up with regard to indoor routing, navigation and waiting time detection and the specific execution of the pilots in Berlin and PMI at airport premises in WP5. UPVLC will contribute to the definition of the evaluation plan and the technical evaluation related with indoor routing and navigation and usability assessmentsin WP6. UPVLC will contribute in WP7 as a university to dissemination activities in technical journals and conferences, so as other dissemination and communication activities required by the project to create impact.

In WP2 LUT supports market analysis and initial evaluation plan development and helps integrate the feedback from the advisory group. LUT leads the task 3.4 and is the main research partner in developing the new cooperation and business framework. LUT supports in WP6 creating the evaluation plan and conducting impact and process evaluation while ensuring interaction with the Advisory Group. LUT leads the work package and the tasks 7.1, 7.2 and 7.4, sets up the dissemination strategy, plans exploitation options and manages the interaction with the Advisory Group and other external stakeholders.
